Playtonic Games’ Yooka-Laylee was at Gamescom to show off some more footage to excited fans. Made up of a team of ex-Rare developers and more, Yooka-Laylee certainly has that Rare/Banjo-Kazooie charm, and we can’t wait to play it.
The new trailer shows off some of the special abilities you will be able to take advantage of, such as curling into a boll and traveling at high speeds, and even farting under water to create a breathable bubble to survive in. Yep. Charming, as I said!
It also looks like the duo can turn into a truck with a bucket on the front of it, for moving big objects out of the way, to reveal secrets and mission critical items. You also get a good look at some of the areas you will be visiting and enemies you’ll be dealing with. It looks like an absolute blast, and again, I’m excited by it.
Yooka-Laylee is due to be released on Windows PC, iOS, Linux, PlayStation 4, Wii U and Xbox One early in 2017.
