Xbox One Backwards Compatibility update for January

backwards compatibility januaryAnother update to the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility list has been revealed, and while the list isn’t the most exciting bunch of games to date, a change in how backwards compatible game releases will arrive is refreshing news.

Major Nelson reports that since the feature launched last November, Xbox gamers around the world have logged more than 21 million hours playing Xbox One Backward Compatibility games. It was also announced that Xbox are going to start releasing titles as they become available rather than a set monthly launch date. What this means for gamers is that you won’t have to wait to find out the latest titles, they will release whatever is available, when they’re available, once each title has received the engineering and publisher stamp of approval.

Below, you can see the list of newly added backwards compatibility titles. For members in select regions, you can also download The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings for free, which we reported on earlier.
