Phil Spencer revealed via a tweet that the list of backwards compatibility titles will be revealed on November 9th, next week. The 100 games that will be listed will be available to play on the Xbox One as of November 12th, when the New Xbox One Experience goes live to the public.
The 100 games being made available will primarily be first party titles, the likes of Gears of War (which are free to those who bought Gears of War Ultimate Edition), Viva Pinata and its sequel, any RARE title, and perhaps the Forza titles, as they’re not all confirmed. Some third party developers have already agreed to allow their titles to be backwards compatible. Already confirmed are Criterion Games’ Burnout Paradise, Fallout 3, Just Cause 2, Rainbow Six Vegas and its sequel, Codemasters’ Dirt 3, Mass Effect, Worms 2: Armageddon, and more.
@_SirKiwiiTastic We will announce the back compat list of the first 100 on 11/9.

The New Xbox One Experience will add loads of new features to the existing dashboard experience, making it easier to navigate, and adding Cortana in the new year for voice search functionality. The update will also speed up a lot of the console’s activities, so you can get into gaming quicker, as well as Backwards Compatibility for Xbox 360 games.
