Generally speaking, when we think of post apocalyptic settings, we think of zombies or about us climbing out of vaults to search the ruins of a former city. One game worth putting firmly on your radar is Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut, coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this October.
Wasteland 2 is a post apocalyptic RPG made by the original creator of Fallout, and it allows you to explore a huge open world, which reacts to your actions.Discover, negotiate and intimidate survivors along the way and decide whether to help them, or kill them. It’s all up to you. Play as you want, how you want.
Wasteland 2 is played from a top-down isometric view, with turn based combat for shootouts, similar to the excellent XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Make friends with characters in the game and add them to your party as you explore the world, upgrading your team and yourself as you go, while searching for better weapons and equipment.
Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut comes to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on October 16th with overhauled graphics, new Perks & Quirks for in-game characters, Precision Strikes and redesigned combat encounters, more voices, a new interface, and of course, controller support.
