It’s that time of year again where gamers can look forward to award shows and see their favourite publishers receiving countless statues and accolades for their hard work. The Golden Joystick awards kick off this year on November 18th, and you can go to it yourself for £10, although tickets are limited to ‘first come, first served’.
You can begin voting at this here link, which asks you to complete 21 categories, so make sure you have enough time to put some thought into each of the options. Green Man Gaming are involved with this year’s Golden Joystick, and by completing the survey, you can get a cool bundle of three games for just £1. Those games include the excellent ‘Spec Ops: The Line’, the remake of Sid Meier’s Pirates! and a ‘Mystery Game’.
Categories include Best Original Game, Best Storytelling, Best Visual Design, Best Audio, Best Multiplayer Game, Best Indie game, Best Gaming Moment, Youtube Personality of the Year, and more. You can even vote for Best Innovation which includes VR headsets and Pokémon GO!
As you’d expect, many of this year’s massive titles are listed, from Overwatch, to Firewatch, The Witness to Inside, and then there’s Uncharted 4, No Man’s Sky, Worms WMD, Street Fighter V and some Telltale Games. There’s also a few listings of The Witcher 3, which was a 2015 game so it’s strange to see that it’s mentioned. I’m not sure if it featured in last year’s Golden Joystick but I can’t see why not.
Again, if you want to take part in the vote and decide the fate of particular games or developers, vote here.
