EA has today released a new trial version of Unravel for those who adore the look of the game, but might not want to splash the cash. If you have EA Access, you can of course play it for 10 hours, but if not, here’s your next best option.
The Unravel demo lets you play the first level of the game, Thistle and Weeds, and you will want to stop and admire the gorgeous scenery during your adventure. The game is bloody gorgeous. The first level isn’t exactly difficult either, and teaches you a few basics in movement. Make sure you find more balls of yarn to keep Yarnny in one piece though.
It’s a lovely, heartfelt game from Swedish developer Coldwood Interactive, and published by EA. Some of its puzzles had me retrying a few times, but it’s great for sitting down to play with the kids or for distracting them for a few hours while you enjoy some Rocket League or The Division. Give it a go, it’s free! If you find yourself guilty of enjoying it, you can pick it up for $20 or your regional equivalent on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
