Last week, a few new releases hit the market place, such as XCOM 2, FIFA 17 and Forza Horizon 3. How did they all fare in the chart in what will only be a crazy and busy release period going forward in 2016?
FIFA 17 takes the top spot in the chart, being available on multiple platforms, and for many, it’s a game that gets picked up each and every year. According to sales figures, it sold 18% more this year at launch than last year. FIFA is only getting bigger.
In second place, we have the Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive Forza Horizon 3, which is insanely gorgeous and filled to the brim with things to do in Australia. Check out our review here if you haven’t already. Will it continue to win new fans over, whether or not they’re interested in cars or racing?
Bioshock The Collection spent a good two weeks at the top of the chart at launch, but now kindly drops down to 4th place. XCOM 2 finally released on consoles, bringing the hardcore turn-based strategy from PC to brutally destroy Xbox and PlayStation players. That debuted in 5th place which isn’t too shabby at all. It’s meant to be fantastic too!
PES 17 is tackled down into 6th place, while NBA 2K17 dribbles in the wrong direction, bouncing from 3rd down to 9th place. All in all, a very active top 20 chart this week. What games did you pick up last week?
