The weekly retail sales chart listings are here, and to nobody’s surprise, Tom Clancy’s The Division has swooped in and landed itself at the top of the UK games chart. With a bunch of new released over the past few weeks, let’s see how everything else is getting on.
GFK Chart Track revealed too that The Division broke an 11 year record held by ‘Gran Turismo 4’ (back in Week 10 of 2005), outselling any other title released in the first 3 months of the year. That’s another record set by Ubisoft, who also announced that The Division was the publisher’s best ever launch title. Their other new release, Far Cry Primal which debuted in 1st place but now sits in 2nd.
Call of Duty Black Ops 3 moved up from 4th to 3rd, while FIFA 16 also moved from 5th into 4th place on the chart. Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2, launching two weeks ago and debuted in 2nd place, went from 3rd to 5th last week. LEGO Marvel Avengers held its ground in 6th place, while the mighty Grand Theft Auto V holds onto 7th.
Metal Gear Sold V: The Phantom Pain sold a few copies last week, moving from 28th up to 19th, while Rise of the Tomb Raider also found its way into new homes as well, shifting from 30th into 17th. What games did you buy last week?
