Let’s start our week by taking a look at the UK game chart at retail, as always. March has been a very busy month so far, with the Nintendo Switch launch, the arrival of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and let’s not forget Horizon Zero Dawn. Last week saw Ghost Recon Wildlands release..into the wild, but how did it fare?
Ghost Recon Wildlands managed to breach the top of the chart, with a tonne of hype and positivity surrounding it via the media and the gamers themselves. It actually turned out to be the biggest game launch of the year so far, falling slightly behind The Division for Ubisoft. Not bad going!
Horizon Zero Dawn was forced into second place in the chart, while LEGO Worlds, another debut title, began life in 3rd place. That’s pretty awesome too! The Legend of Zelda dropped from 2nd to 4th place, all pushing GTA V down to 5th place after its few weeks at 1st and 3rd place. PlayStation 4 new release Nier Automata debuted in 6th.
Another Ubisoft title, For Honor, dropped from 5th place in the chart to 11th, as its legs begin to shake somewhat. Are players still enjoying their time on it?
