UK Game Sales Chart, July 2nd

lego star warsAs we enter the summer month of July, which is usually a quiet one, let’s take a look at the UK game sales chart and see what’s topping the top 20, and what has resurfaced from the depths.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the latest release for all platforms, leaping into the top of the chart, winning over both LEGO and Star Wars fans. FIFA 16 succeeds in holding onto 2nd place again this week, thanks to the inspiration from Euro 2016, which is approaching its finale.

Overwatch sells even more copies, rising from 4th up into 3rd place in the chart this week. Doom takes a plunge into hell, or 4th place from 1st, and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End drops from 3rd into 5th place. New in the chart this week too is Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, debuting in 6th place.

Rocket League released in retail last week at 6th, and finds itself in 7th now, while GTA V drops from 5th to 8th place. 7 Days to Die hit the stores last week, in beta form, believe it or not, and that debuted in 9th place. Call of Duty Black Ops 3 also fell to its lowest position in the chart since launch in November, down at 12th.
