Good morning Monday! Welcome to another week, and another UK game sales chart post! Last week’s big new release was Resident Evil 7, which released on multiple platforms, and it didn’t struggle to make an impact on the chart at all.
Resident Evil 7 debuted in the top spot, winning fans over with its return to survival horror over popcorn action gameplay. Its use of PlayStation VR would have enticed a lot of fans too. That left GTA V being pushed down to 2nd, having enjoyed two weeks at number 1 recently. Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter (say it twice, fast) debuted in 3rd place which is great for RPG fans, while FIFA 17 dropped from 2nd to 4th place.
Call of Duty Infinite Warfare dropped from 3rd to 5th, while Rocket League holds onto 6th yet again. Yakuza 0 released into 8th place on PlayStation 4, and Tales of Bersaria found a place in 14th. Forza Horizon 3 suffered a massive sales slump, falling from 8th to 21st, while Titanfall 2 re-enters the top 40 at 34th this week. That game just can’t catch a break!
