LEGO Dimensions released last week, and we were always curious to see how it would fare in the chart, considering its rather hefty price point. Surprisingly, it managed to debut in second place in the charts, behind the juggernaut that is FIFA 16. Good start for the franchise, but will add-on packs be classed towards game sales of LEGO Dimensions, or not at all?

NBA 2K16 debuted in third, considering it’s most appealing market is the US, so that says something about the diversity of UK shoppers and gamers. Destiny: The Taken King still performs strongly, although it slipped from second to fourth last week. Forza Motorsport 6 sits in fifth place, dropping from third. Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer for the Nintendo 3DS debuts in sixth place, which is rather massive for the title, up against such strong competition on other platforms.

The elephant in the room, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 started its grind in twelfth, although I strongly feel that it won’t move any higher in the charts. Perhaps people will buy it to see how bad it really is, but for that price, would you bother? Minecraft for Xbox and PlayStation sit in 17th and 19th respectively, but it’s still amazing to see them in the top 20 to this day! Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 took a dive from sixth to eleventh this week, while the aforementioned FIFA 16 continues its winning streak at the top of the chart.
