Here’s the first UK game sales report for 2016, and let’s see how UK gamers spent their money in stores last week. With the holidays sales in full swing, could we see a change in the top three titles? Last year ended with Call of Duty Black Ops 3, Star Wars Battlefront and FIFA 16 at the top of the chart.
Call of Duty Black Ops 3 remains number one, while Star Wars Battlefront continues to hold down its spot in second place. Fallout 4 shifted one place up the chart from 4th into 3rd, and Grand Theft Auto V continually sees Rockstar’s income rise as it retains in 5th place. Good word of mouth is definitely helping Rainbow Six Siege rappel up the charts, jumping a decent three places from 9th into 6th.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate didn’t change its stance in the chart, staying in 7th, while Xbox One titles Forza 6 and Halo 5 Guardians both moved up to 10th and 11th from 12th and 13th respectively. Destiny The Taken King moved back into the top 20 again, and as expected, there are no new entries this week.
