UK Game Sales Chart, December 19th

Call-of-Duty-Black-Ops-III-Zombies-4For the last shopping weekend before Christmas, let’s see how gamers spent their money in UK game stores. With the release of Star Wars The Force Awakens, I’m actually rather surprised to see that Star Wars Battlefront¬†didn’t hit number one!

Nope, instead Call of Duty Black Ops 3 retained its top spot gained last week, while Star Wars Battlefront settled for its second week in number 2. It did sell 20% more copies than the previous week, according to the source. FIFA 16 also held its position this week, with a solid defence keeping it in 3rd place. Fallout 4 didn’t shift either, remaining in 4th place for another week.

Moving down the list, we see Minecraft Story Mode holding onto 5th as well, clearly a week where the top contenders are hesitant about moving. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate moved from 7th into 6th, while Just Cause slipped from 6th into 7th. No new entries this week, not since the release of Rainbow Six and Just Cause in the first week of the month, and with the week of Christmas now under way, will we see a shift due to late shoppers?
