UK Game Sales Chart, August 8th

GTA Online take two chartAs we begin another week, let’s take a look at the UK retail chart and see what’s new, and what’s selling. Unfortunately, there are no new game releases in store, but that will all change this week with the release of No Man’s Sky. But look what stole the show this week!

Grand Theft Auto V, which has endured and enjoyed 150 weeks in the chart since its launch, can now celebrate its 9th No1 crown. It rarely, if ever leaves the top 10, and continues to find its way into new players’ homes. Well done, Rockstar. I just love it, which my article from last week details.

Coming in at a close second is Uncharted 4, which was second place last week too. LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens finally drops off the top spot after 5 weeks at the top. Overwatch shifts from 5th place into 4th place, and FIFA 16 continues to find a place in the chart, especially with the football about to kick off again.

Rocket League and DOOM duke it out for 6th and 7th, while The Division climbs up from 21st to 11th following the release of The Underground DLC on PlayStation 4. UFC 2 and Rainbow Six Siege also saw a boost in sales last week.
