Last week saw very few new releases during the week of Gamescom, but one title that hit retail managed to debut at the top of the UK charts, which surprisingly knocked No Man’s Sky off its perch after its second week.
The game in question is Codemasters’ F1 2016, their annual licensed racer while the season is on its break. Not a bad start for the title, but concerning for Hello Games after just one week for No Man’s Sky. Maybe it will recover next week, but for a game hyped up for one of 2016’s biggest titles, that was a short flash in the pan.
LEGO Star Wars moves from 4th place up to 3rd in the chart, while Overwatch and Grand Theft Auto V hold out in 4th and 5th respectively.
This week sees the releases of Deus Ex and Assetto Corsa among others. Will either top this week’s chart?
