In a console generation now defined almost on remastered titles and now backwards compatibility features, Ubisoft are next in line to offer up the possibility of a catalogue of backwards compatible titles on Xbox One.
While the release of Rainbow Six Siege will include free copies of Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2, nothing else has been confirmed, or suggested, up until now. On the Mexican Ubisoft Facebook page, an image was posted replicating the original image for backwards compatibility, displaying Ubisoft games, asking fans what Xbox 360 Ubisoft titles they would like to see being made compatible on the Xbox One.
Splinter Cell, Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry and other titles are visible in the image, although there was no polling system in place for fans to vote. We expect that to come soon enough, with this initial question set to provoke the community and make them aware of future plans.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue seems like a top choice, a game which launched simultaneously with Unity, which was only available on current gen platforms. Other than that, it’s up the community to decide. What games would you like to see being available on Xbox One’s backwards compatibility program?
