Twitter has published a list of what games were tweeted about most in 2015, and there aren’t really any surprises either. Grand Theft Auto V takes the top spot, with its PC release being a highlight, but what does it mean for the games that weren’t featured? Ah well, let’s get on with the show.
As we said, GTA V took the top spot for most tweeted, followed by Call of Duty Black Ops 3. A good 5 million tweets between the two of them. Then, looking at the numbers, it drops dramatically. FIFA 16 had 7.1 million tweets, while Fallout 4 had 5.4 million. Interestingly enough, FIFA 15 also featured on the list with 4.9 million tweets overall.
The rest of the list is made up of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate which is good going for a series that people feel is getting too much now, while the overall Game of the Year winner The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt only managed 2.9 million tweets, down in 7th. Batman Arkham Knight probably had a lot of negativity regarding its PC release, which settled in 8th with 2.2 million, although I loved it on console. Star Wars Battlefront and Battlefield Hardline round out the top 10. 4 out of 10 for EA, if that’s a stat you care about!
