The trailers and adverts from Super Bowl 50

independence day super bowlEvery year during the Super Bowl, advertisers cash in on the massive number of spectators the world over, who will be huddled around the tv able to see the trailers and adverts. The advertising must cost a fortune at this time, but for everyone who isn’t interested in the sport, the advertisements can be great, from game trailers to upcoming movie trailers. Here are the best ones.

We’ll kickstart the article with the new Independence Day: Resurgence trailer, which reveals the return of Jeff Goldblum for the sequel. The trailer isn’t long, but the special effects usage is strong in this one. After Earth’s slim victory over the aliens in the first movie, the aliens are coming back for another try at world domination, or destruction.

We also got our first look at the return of Jason Bourne, with his role being reprised by Matt Damon. Personally, I didn’t watch these movies, so don’t judge me. After the last one which many were disappointed with, this should make a few people happy and return some faith in the franchise.

As Disney continue to turn their animated classics into live action movies, here comes The Jungle Book. With voice acting by Bill Murray, Scarlett Johannson, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, and more, relive the tale of Mogli and by the looks of it, a few songs that you may know and love from your childhood.

United we stand, divided we fall in this new Captain America: Civil War trailer. There isn’t much else shown in this Super Bowl TV spot advert that we haven’t seen already, but we do get another look at Black Panther for a blink and you’ll miss it moment. If you paid attention to Captain America’s Facebook page last week, you would have seen his interesting take on the Facebook Friends video to celebrate the social network’s 12th birthday…

X-men Apocalypse is one of another live action comic book movies hitting the cinemas this year, and here’s a new trailer which introduces us to Psylocke, being played by Olivia Munn. Expect a lot of action, and a lot of superheroes. This should be fun!

From the creators of Despicable Me comes a new animated film called The Secret Life of Pets, which delves into the lifestyles of pets and what they get up to when their owners aren’t around. One for the kids, and most likely filled with jokes for adults too.

A new trailer for Michael Bay’s take on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel also showed up Out of the Shadows, and what I love about this trailer is that it features one of the Turtles’ arch nemesis, Krang. Come on, you remember him. The squishy brain looking guy in the stomach of a robotic suit?!

10 Cloverfield Lane also got another sneak peak during the adverts of the Super Bowl, and also satisfied my itch in asking if we’ll see any monsters in this movie. Cloverfield is undeniably one of my favorite movies of all time, and this new project from JJ Abrams looked like it would all be set indoors in a bomb shelter. Thankfully, there were loud screams and roars in the trailer, so that’s good news, right?

A new advert for Coca Cola mini cans involving Marvel’s Incredible Hulk and Ant Man. Funny, and silly. Then a little bit cringeworthy at the end. Enjoy! 😉

Well here’s a good one. What started off as a run of the mill advert for Turkish Airlines, the airline company announced a new destination for travelers to visit. That is Gotham City. A cunning advert to draw your attention towards the imminent release of Batman v Superman this March.

Trying to borrow some of Liam Neeson’s magic from last year’s Super Bowl advert involving Clash of Clans, Arnold Schwarzenegger promotes a mobile game available on the App Store called Mobile Strike. It really wasn’t that great at all Arnie. Sorry.
