The Star Wars: Battlefront beta has been extended

Star Wars: Battlefront beta Publisher Electronic Arts took to Twitter yesterday to announce that they are officially extending the free beta period their up-coming re-boot of Star Wars: Battlefront for “extreme testing”. The beta, which is still fully open to the general public, will no longer conclude today as previously told and instead will run through Tuesday October 13th on all platforms. However no specific time of closure was given.

The following was posted on the games official forum: “Hope you’re enjoying the Star Wars: Battlefront beta and thank you for playing – every time you log on, it’s helping us ensure the experience is going to be great at launch. as we get into the late stages of the beta, we will begin conducting further technical tests on our infrastructure.

These addition tests will start on Monday, October 12th and will run ‘thru’ Tuesday, October 13th, which will add an additional day to the open Beta. These tests are to help us find some extreme scenarios, and that means some players may experience occasional issues such as being kicked from the game or losing connectivity. This is all being done in the nae of shoring up our infrastructure before we launch on November 17th.

Please continue to provide your feedback around the Beta and we look forward to seeing you on the battlefront in November.”

On a personal level I’m yet to experience the Battlefront Beta and it’s likely that I’ll miss it altogether given I’m currently finding it difficult to pull myself away from Forza 6, Metal Gear Solid V and Destiny: The Taken King. However from what I’ve heard so far I would say that EA and game developer DICE can give themselves a pat onStar Wars: Battlefront beta the back. With exception to minor graphical glitches and problems that come down to ones personal preference (for example the UI), I’m yet to hear about anything that could generally be referred to as a serious problem. And I’m confident that the guys over at EA and DICE will use any and all community feedback in order to ensure the game is ready for launch.

However, as is always the case, we here at 4-One Gaming thrive off our communities experiences, so with that in mind we would now like to offer you guys the opportunity to head on back over to the Facebook page and comment sections of the website and forums to share your experiences of the Star Wars: Battlefront Beta so far. Bonus points awarded to those of you who upload your screenshots and personal video clips.
