The games of February 2016

unravel gamesThe game releases of 2016 are starting to roll out in droves, with February kicking off with a bang. From expansion packs to sequels, new titles and reboots, there should be something here for everyone. We take a look at some of the biggest games releasing this month.

Note that release dates might not apply to all locations, with the US generally getting new releases on a Tuesday, while Europe gets them on the Thursday or Friday. Feel free to tell us if we’re missing anything, and we can edit the list.

Dying Light: The Following (Feb 6th)

Dying Light, one of 2015’s best games receives a massive expansion pack this month, with another huge environment to explore.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (Feb 9th)

The last installment in the series, Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will let players run on the walls again and fight on the sides of the arenas.

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia (Feb 9th)

The spin off series will receive its final episode, following two previous adventures in China and India. A triple pack will also release in Retail at a later date.

Neverwinter: Underdark (Feb 9th)

The Underdark expansion will make its way onto Xbox One, and adventurers will journey through “The Dwarven King,” a quest line written by acclaimed author R.A. Salvatore.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Awakening (Feb 2nd)

The first Black Ops 3 DLC pack will hit PlayStation on Feb 2nd, with all new Zombies and MP content. PC and Xbox players can play it next month.

Unravel (Feb 9th)

EA and Coldwood Interactive’s little adventure starring Yarny will be hitting consoles and pc, with gorgeous visuals and a lot of puzzles.

Q*bert: Rebooted: The XBOX One @!#?@! Edition (Feb 12th)

One of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful arcade games of the 1980s is back in its Classic pixel perfect 2D form, and a re-imagined

Firewatch (Feb 9th)

Firewatch is a mystery set in the Wyoming wilderness, where your only emotional lifeline is the person on the other end of a handheld radio.

Far Cry Primal (Feb 23rd)

Far Cry goes where it has never gone before, where none of us have gone before, back to the stone age. Sabertooth tigers and other vicious creatures want to eat you, and you’ve got to tame them.

Street Fighter V (Feb 16th)

Capcom’s world famous fighting franchise steps into a new arena with Street Fighter V. Introducing new characters and returning favourites, this will keep the brawlers happy for years to come.

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 (Feb 23rd)

EA and Popcap games bring the fight to the zombies in the returning Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare sequel. More over the top, more colourful, and more absurd than before, this one is fun for all ages.

XCOM 2 (Feb 5th)

Firaxis have a big year ahead of them with the imminent release of XCOM 2. Following on from the reboot of the series a few years ago, hype for this game is huge, and strategy fans will be foaming at the mouth to play it.

American Truck Simulator (Feb 3rd)

Taking the enjoyable, relaxing gameplay of Euro Truck Simulator, American Truck Simulator takes players to the open roads of California, in massive trucks.
