In the middle of December, Ark Survival Evolved launched on the Xbox One’s Game Preview program. According to Xbox, the game was downloaded a massive 1,000,000 times, and Survivors had lasted a combined 200,000 real-life days against the dinosaurs and perils of the island. But where will Ark take them next?
While the game is still six or seven months away from its official summer release, developer Studio Wildcard says that in the coming months you “can expect community feedback to be integrated into the Xbox One version of the game with regular updates about every two weeks. This will eventually include highly-demanded features like split screen support, gamepad customization, UI improvements, tweaks to current game modes, balancing improvements and all the new content that is going into the PC version,” as stated on an Xbox Wire blogpost.
Some time this January, a new creature will be making its way onto the island. Not much else has been said of the creature, other than this graphic below. Doesn’t look too carnivorous, does it?
If you have yet to try Ark Survival Evolved, you can check it out for one hour for free, then grab it for £27 or €35 from the Game Preview section of the Xbox Store. Think Minecraft, with less blocky visuals, bigger player counts and hungry dinosaurs. How long can you survive?
