Gears of WarWe all know that the original game of the legendary Gear of War series is due to be re-released as a fully remastered Xbox One title, but unfortunately, the other three games; Gears of War 2, 3 and perhaps the best of the series Gears of War: Judgement (inside joke) will not be getting the same treatment… As of yet anyway. Fortunately however it was recently announced that all 4 games will be playable on the Xbox One, thanks to backward compatibility.

And the good news didn’t stop there, Microsoft also stated that preview members on the Xbox One have access to the original Gears of War from TODAY, meaning if you’re part of the preview program then you can turn on your console right this second and enjoy some classic Gears of War action.

“All Gears of War titles will be supported on Backward Compatibility when it launches publicly this fall. This means if you own the games Gears of Waron Xbox 360, you’ll be able to play them on your Xbox One and utilize some of your favorite next-gen features, like Game DVR, Snap, Screenshots and more.
