DC’s main event is a mostly enjoyable one with a few noticeable caveats. Character dynamics shine brightest, the league is rounded out by lots of charismatic moments. Each hero has a few scenes that help solidify their personalities and contributions to the group. These moments, like Flash and the speed force or Wonder Woman foiling terrorists, these are excellent scenes. There are certainly questionable moments that could have been edited out, seeing as this movie was supposedly edited down from 2 hours and 50 minutes to just shy of 2 hours. While the CGI is annoying, the villain isn’t memorable, and the story isn’t anything new, there’s still plenty to enjoy in Justice League and enough to recommend to comic fans and general film-goers.
Wonder Woman shares many similarities with Richard Donner’s Superman. It doesn’t quite reach the heights of what Donner put on-screen back in 1978. Donner’s Superman is the defining characterization of the superhero. Fast forward to 2017 and Wonder Woman hits all the right notes to give a spiritual successor to Donner’s achievement. Though it’s not perfect, it’s an excellent film that strays away from setting up new stories and continuing other stories from past films. It’s a golden age comic adaptation: one that nails the story and message.

Mystified. The main word that comes to mind when reflecting on Batman v Superman. As a DC fan and film-goer, I’ve had my sights on this movie for quite some time. Growing more and more eager to see the final product. Much hinges on the critical and financial success of this movie. Will this jumpstart the DC Cinematic Universe? Does it have what it takes to contend with Marvel? Will it bring something fresh to the comic book movie genre? With excitement and glee I can answer these questions: yes to all the above. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a triumph over seemingly insurmountable odds. We get a brilliantly crafted movie that is not only the most unique comic book film that I’ve ever seen, but damn near brought me to tears, something the Nolan Batman’s or any comic book film has ever accomplished.

The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) is responsible for rating most films that have a theatrical release and many that have DVD releases as well. While the theatrical release of Batman V Superman will still be PG-13, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition has been rated R for “sequences of violence.” This essentially means that the blu-ray release of the movie will have an R-rated take obviously for more graphic violence.
Check out the final trailer for the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Many of you may wonder if this trailer is even worth watching after the somewhat spoilerific previous trailer that included Doomsday. Rest assured, this should have been the final trailer, nothing is given away and we’re given an excellent look at Batman in action in an action sequence that reminds me of combat from the Batman Arkham games.
Today, there’s not one, but two movie trailers to get excited about today. First we had the Suicide Squad trailer, and now we have a few Wonder Woman teaser clips. Comic books fans are in for a great summer! Continue reading Wonder Woman Teaser Footage
Check out the superb new Batman v Superman trailer that features a great look at a more personal and intense scene between Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne. We also get a load of Jessie Eisenburg as Lex Luthor, having him narrate the majority of the trailer. It also appears that rumors are true and that Luthor gets the body of Zod and plays a Victor Frankenstein role to engine Doomsday. Along with that we get a good look at the DC Trinity together at the end. Unfortunately, it’s a rather to the point trailer and there’s not a whole lot for me to analyze. We’ll keep you updated on all the latest news and trailers for Batman v Superman.
