Ubisoft CEO: “We Are Not Forgetting Splinter Cell”

Ubisoft held its annual E3 press conference today. Many games were present, including Far Cry 5, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, and even Beyond Good and Evil 2. There were plenty of new announcements as well, but chief among absentees was Sam Fisher. It’s only been about 4 years since Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Blacklist had poor sales but excellent critical acclaim. After each core Tom Clancy game has seen a recent treatment, some have started to ponder where Splinter Cell has been. In a separate interview taking place as part of Youtube Live, Geoff Keighley asked Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot about whether Ubisoft had any plans for the stealthy series. Guillemot had this to say:

Previously due out in time for the holidays, Christmas was ruined for many when the game was delayed yet again. Now it is said to be arriving in October. I’m not holding my breath. Ubisoft Decides to fix Rainbow Six Siege

UbisoftI Love Rainbow Six Siege and think it’s one of the best first person shooters this generation.  It’s a refreshing change from the run and gun Call of Duty or the nade spam Battlefield series. The game has unfortunately had some serious issues since it released and Ubisoft being Ubisoft have failed spectacularly to sort them out. Until now.
