The legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild will soon be receiving it’s first piece of DLC and whilst some of it sounds like it could have or should have been included in the game from the start personally I think it sounds pretty neat. When we ask gamers what their favourite game of all time is, we can be pretty confident that they will choose one title from a select few games that most gamers agree are the best in the business. Perhaps it’s Red Dead Redemption or Goldeneye. Maybe it’s Final Fantasy 7 or Ocarina of Time? Well it might be time to revise that pool of “best games ever” because The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is finally with us after years of waiting and it’s quickly become my favourite game of all time, surpassing even Red Dead Redemption. After an agonisingly long wait The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild finally releases on Nintendo WiiU and Nintendo’s latest console/handheld hybrid, the Nintendo Switch. First revealed way back in 2014 the game has evolved from the early days of 8bit up,down, left and right to a lush and frankly beautiful art style and what could well be one of the best open world’s ever created.

As we pick our Games of the Year for 2016 our attention naturally turns to what the following year has in store for us and the industry. I thought I’d share with you what some of my most anticipated games are for the coming year. 2017 is going to be a big year for the big 3 console platforms with PlayStation looking to build it’s VR and PS4 Pro platforms and with the Nintendo Switch and Xbox Scorpio releasing next year it’s certainly going to be interesting and expensive.
