Many years ago, PES was the football game to have. Not even FIFA’s license could pull me away from it. I had been with the series right back to the International Superstar Soccer years and I loved it. In 2008 PES released a shocker of a game and many loyal fans, myself included crossed over to FIFA. FIFA has been my go-to footy game ever since but I always kept an eye on PES wondering if that year’s release would mark the second coming of a legend. It’s been a long time since I bought a PES game but this year’s demo, for all its faults, was enough to convince me . In true PES fashion my first few hours with the game weren’t spent playing football, oh no, instead I spent the first couple of hours editing team names and kits. Now if you are on PlayStation 4 then you are in luck as we have a quick way to sort the issue, but for Xbox One users it’s going to take you a bit longer to sort out those team names I’m afraid.

Last week, Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer and Sega’s Football Manager received an update to patch out English football player Adam Johnson following his court case involving sexual activity with a minor.
