Elite dangerous has been available on PC and Xbox One for some time now and whilst we knew of an imminent PlayStation 4 release we’ve been waiting for an exact release date. It seems the question of When has been answered from the most likely of sources for gaming news…the London Stock exchange.
Last week we told you about an Elite Dangerous community event taking place last weekend in which CMDR Salomé, a character from the Elite dangerous novel by Drew Wagar and some of her generals would be making a run for an undisclosed location within inhabited space. The outcome of this event would shape the book being written by Wagar and impact on Elite Dangerous’ story going forward. This week we tell you how it all went down.

Elite Dangerous players have been waiting impatiently for the past 6 or so weeks for news on the 2.3 update to arrive, and following an in-game notification about taking on long distance missions, Frontier have announced that the update will begin today, with the servers coming offline for 8 or so hours. I have been playing Elite Dangerous for what feels like just over a year at this point. Every night that I jump on to play, I enjoy partying up with friends who have played the game as far back as its first iteration in 1984, who have tales of first discoveries, their month-long adventures into the black, and stories from amongst the community.
