Another U-Turn for Microsoft?

MicrosoftOver the last three years it’s become increasingly difficult to take Microsoft’s word on pretty much anything they say in their statements. After the drastic changes to Xbox One policies and standing on a ‘Kinect-less’ Xbox One bundle we’ve become increasingly skeptical over pretty much anything they say in relation to policies future products. Watch 1 hour of Battlefield 1 multiplayer

Battlefield 1Yesterday at EA Play, DICE announced that there would be a one hour Battlefield 1 multiplayer session in action which you could watch live. EA Access will go free for ten days in June

EA AccessWe can’t imagine there’s a lot of people out there unaware of EA Access and what it’s used for, but for those of you who’ve been living under a rock for the last two years. It’s a subscription service which allows users to pay a monthly fee, and play some of EA’s top titles. No doubt it’s an appealing prospect as paying the collective price of all the games available would be considerably more expensive than a small monthly fee, even if you left it rolling.

Mass Effect Andromeda to release in early 2017

Mass Effect AndromedaCredit where credit is due EA are doing a great job of keeping fans in the dark in regard to the upcoming addition to the role-playing game series from BioWare, Mass Effect. Whether you regard that as a good thing or not you still have to respect their commitment to keeping tight-lipped, leaving the development of the game to build hype all by itself.

Red Dead Redemption 2 map confirmed as authentic

Red Dead Redemption 2Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few days, you’ve probably seen this image of a map circulating the Internet. If you have, then you probably also know the story behind it. The map originally appeared on NeoGAF just a few days ago, claiming it had been leaked from an upcoming sequel for Red Dead Redemption. If you were a fan of the original game, you’ll be happy to know the speculation has now been confirmed.

Slim-line Xbox One model could be in the works

Xbox OneIt’s one of those stories that you really do need to take with a pinch of salt, but following two new filings to the FFC, it has led many to believe that Microsoft are planning to reveal a new Xbox One design at E3 2016. Now, this could be something as simple as some form of wireless accessory for the console, given that kind of technology first needs to be approved by the Federal Communications commission.
