Dark PitWith Lucario, Shulk, Rosalina and Meta Knight already having had store exclusivity deals it was only a matter of time before another popped up. In the next wave of amiibo Dark Pit has been confirmed as a Best Buy exclusive. On a brighter note however it seems Nintendo might finally be getting a handle of the stock crisis.

Nintendo Apologizes for Amiibo Shortages

Amiibo_GroupIt is no secret that amiibo collectors are having quite a few issues finding the ones they want as many are in short supply, often selling out on the day and leaving fans frustrated, but Nintendo have vowed to do better.

Nintendo released a statement today regarding Amiibo’s short supply, apologizing to fans and promising to manufacture more in the future in order to keep up with demand. They have also revealed plans to re-issue some of the out-of-stock amiibo sometime in the future.

Amiibo Touch & Play to launch on Thursday

amiibo logoNintendo’s popular NFC figures are about to get a little bonus feature by way of the ‘Amiibo Touch & Play: Nintendo Classics Highlights’ app. The free app will be available to download from Thursday and allows players to tap an amiibo in order to play a randomly selected snippet from some of Nintendo’s greatest games.

Yoshi’s Woolly World Amiibo Will Cost a Little Extra

yoshi's wooly worldPre-orders for the special Yoshi’s Woolly World amiibo have gone live with many retailers in the UK and Ireland and it looks like they’ll be costing a little more than the ordinary plastic amiibo. It’s not really a surprise considering these are made from actual fabric and not plastic but it appears that prices will be at or around the £15/€20/€20 price mark.
