The Spartan Fireteams have been deployed for Halo, the lights have turned green for Need for Speed, the bombs have dropped in Fallout and next up for release is the highly anticipated Star Wars: Battlefront reboot. The final quarter for 2015 has been a great time for video games and it’s not quite over yet. With just six days before the release, everything you can unlock and use has appeared online.
More specifically, if you have an EA account you can now log into the website and view everything that you can unlock and earn through playing the game. Alternatively you could just view them below… Saves time, yano?:
Star Cards, these are a feature within Star Wars: Battlefront that allows players to customize their characters before heading into battle. Think of like an alternative loadout system, that differs from that of what we’re used to in the likes of Battlefield and Call of Duty, here’s what you can expect:
Traits, these grant passive abilities to your solider and Base Command units:
Weapons and vehicles, no explanation needed, a selection of useable weapons and vehicles from across the Star Wars universe:
And last but by no means least, Heroes. These are available to specific maps and can be picked up when they become active:
When put into context like that it does seem like there’s a lot to look forward to when the game launches, however it does seem that a lot of content could be being held back in the interest of generating additional revenue from downloadable content. However, it’s always worth looking back to previous games from the same developer and publisher team. Whilst EA and DICE didn’t exactly get the best start with the last game they teamed up for, Battlefield 4, the game is still being supported over two years after its initial launch back in 2013 in the form of a new, free of charge map on the 25th of October of this year. Hopefully EA and DICE will continue this trend with Star Wars: Battlefront when it launches on November 17th 2015.
