Coming in September, Season Pass holders will receive the third expansion pack for Star Wars Battlefront, the Death Star. The DLC will include new maps both on ground and in space, new weapons and star cards and two new heroes.
First off, the two new characters are Bossk and Chewbacca. Chewie is a fan favourite amongst Star Wars fans and his late arrival to the game is rather questionable to say the least, but at least he’s coming! As for the Death Star itself, expect trench runs made famous from the movie, along with battles inside the planet destroyer.
DICE also announced the official title for the 4th expansion: Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: Scarif available two weeks early for Season Pass owners. This upcoming expansion pack will continue the battle with heroes from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and explore a new planet from the upcoming film.
Also announced was a new offline Skirmish mode, for those who either don’t want to play online, or may not have the ability to do so.
“Skirmish will offer players the ability to play across two of Star Wars Battlefront’s most popular modes on a difficulty level of your choosing. While offline, you can take to the battlefront in Walker Assault, or to the skies in Fighter Squadron. With multiple locations that span the Star Wars universe, Skirmish brings a new way to enjoy Star Wars Battlefront and there is even an option for coop split screen.”
