Earlier this week on the latest Nintendo Direct. Nintendo revealed a new trailer for Star Fox Zero. There wasn’t much gameplay to be seen, but fans can take comfort in knowing the game will release on the 22nd of April, 2016.
Star Fox hasn’t been with us since Star Fox Command back in 2006, unless you count his appearances in Smash Bros titles. Star Fox Zero was meant to come out before the holidays, but the title was seemingly delayed until this new release date. Like in previous Star Fox titles, missions will include both flying and ground assault stages. This time however, the Arwing itself can transform into a two legged walker, making it a more capable fighting machine.
“Although we felt that the development had been progressing well,” said Nintendo producer Shigeru Miyamoto, “we now believe that we will need a little more time to work on areas such as the unprecedented discovery that we want players to experience in the game by using two screens, and further polishing the level designs and perfecting the tone of the cut scenes.”
