At the end of this month, simulation racer Project CARS will receive yet another DLC pack which will expand the game even further. Since the game’s release, it has separated the men from the boys in terms of hardcore racing, and has seen multiple patches and content that racing fans have celebrated. Project CARS is a gearhead’s dream racer. In collaboration with Slightly Mad Studios, the developer of Project CARS, Stanceworks have designed a couple of cars that will be added to the game on January 29th. Alongside the new cars comes a new track location to tear up the tarmac on. This will be a new road course located in the highlands of Scotland, similar to the ones found in the game based in the US and the French Riviera.
“Over the past couple of months, we’ve worked closely with the Slightly Mad Studios team and Project CARS to bring something StanceWorks flavored to the world they’ve created. Tasked with creating two cars suited to a racing environment while maintaining a sense of familiarity, we unsurprisingly chose to begin with two BMW platforms: the iconic 2002, and its modern stablemate, 2011’s BMW 1M. Our reasoning was simple – it was important that the digital builds represented something true-to-heart – something we’d build ourselves, given the time, money, and opportunity,” said Mike Burroughs of Stanceworks.
As well as the two BMWs, two additional cars will come in the pack, including Mad Mike’s RADBUL Formula Drift Miata, and the KTM X-Bow R too. The monthly free car will be the 2013 Ford Falcon FG.
