We’ve seen more than enough of South Park: The Fractured But Whole, but at Ubisoft’s E3 media briefing, they brought us a brand new trailer with more jokes and plot points to secure a place on our wanted list. If you missed out on South Park: The Stick of Truth, go play it now in anticipation for this!
Taking place a day after the events that took place in The Stick of Truth, the boys of South Park switch from swords and magic to superheroes and powers, and it isn’t long before the group is divided by differences, leading to a mock Civil War face-off. Seeing Timmy playing Professor X in this new trailer is absolutely brilliant, and a joke well played!
As ‘New Kid’, you can customize your character’s appearance again, and choose from a variety of superhero power classes. Level up your abilities to unlock new skills and find new costume pieces throughout the game to improve your armour and strength.
Combat in The Fractured But Whole differs from The Stick of Truth by adding cover, positioning and other changes to the gameplay. It should hopefully keep things fresh as the combat in the last game, while fun, got a bit repetitive at times.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole (tee hee) launches on October 17th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It may or may not get a 4K upgrade. Does it really need one?!
