Sony survey asks about changing PSN name and more

playstation logo psnAccording to a poster on NeoGaf under the name ‘Saint of Killers‘, Sony have issued a survey to a number of individuals asking them about services and features they would like to see coming to PlayStation in the future. One of the topics listed is changing your PSN name, a highly requested feature.

There are a number of features listed, some of which are popular requests, and it shows Sony are listening to the feedback from the fans, especially over the name changing, which is something that Xbox fans could do since the Xbox 360.

Here’s the options:

  • Notifications when friends come online
  • Filtering options in game libraries (e.g. installed only, download only, genre)
  • PS2 Classics
  • Download avatars on PS4
  • Folders
  • Custom backgrounds
  • PS1 Classics
  • Store wish list
  • ‘Appear offline’ mode
  • Increase max no. of people in a p arty
  • Hide/completely remove items from library (e.g. demos)
  • Change PSN ID
  • Delete items from your library
  • None of these

While it’s easy to argue the legitimacy of this survey, Saint of Killers stated, “I was invited to join something called PlayStation Voice, a good number of months ago. They send surveys out for all sorts; potential game covers, TV and paper ads. Thoughts on new releases and even conferences. It’s not fake. I even volunteered to forward the email to a mod.”
