SMITE leaves console exclusivity and is coming to PlayStation 4

smiteSony have announced that the once Xbox One exclusive MOBA, SMITE is coming to PlayStation 4. While also available on PC, the only way to enjoy it was on Xbox, but that will soon change.

A closed alpha for the PlayStation 4 version started this week, with a closed beta beginning in early March which you can sign up for here if you’re interested. SMITE is a third person MOBA, and a really fun one. Easy to pickup and play, hard to master, and very addictive. It is free-to-play as well, and of course that means there are microtransactions. Each week, you have access to a rotated selection gods, the characters you play as. Buy the packs, and you can use whatever god you like, when you like. Use credits earned to buy new costumes and whatnot to outfit your character.

Smite features more than 70 playable gods and mythological creatures from eight different pantheons around the world, all battling for domination across six intense game modes. It is great news for PlayStation fans, and you should do yourself a favour and keep an eye on this once. A joy to play with friends, and time will just pass you by, in a good way.
