Skyrim Special Edition system specs revealed

skyrim special editionBethesda have today released the system specs and console hard drive space requirements for Skyrim Special Edition, coming to PC, as well as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. As well as the epic game itself, Skyrim Special Edition adds mod support on consoles, remastered art and effects, volumetric lighting (“God Rays”), Dynamic Depth of Field, screen-space reflections and new snow and water shaders.

Don’t get too excited by the live action trailer below, it’s from 2011, it’s not new 🙁 Although, 5 years ago, The Elder Scrolls Skyrim went gold, and this trailer was released. Today, Bethesda are happy to announce that the latest iteration of the game has now gone gold too, ahead of its October 28th release date.

As for the PC players in the community, Skyrim Special Edition will be a free upgrade, yet console players will have to splash out for shiny new copies. The system specs and console hard drive space requirements are as follows:
