Leslie Benzies of Rockstar Games, who was with the studio since 1999 and saw the release of most Grand Theft Auto games to gamers has departed the studio. Back in September 2014, Benzies took extended leave via a sabbatical, and did not wish to return to his role in Edinburgh, Scotland.
“We can confirm that Leslie Benzies went on sabbatical on September 1, 2014 and has decided not to return to work for the company,” the official statement read. “We are very grateful for Leslie’s contributions to Rockstar over the last 15 years as we worked together to make some amazing games.
“Leslie helped us build an incredible team that will continue to create great experiences for our fans. Leslie will always be a friend to the company and of course we are going to miss him but we wish him the absolute best for the future.”
Rest assured that Rockstar is still in good hands, with the Houser brothers still at the helm of development. In related Grand Theft Auto news, Franklin’s motion capture and voice actor shared an image of himself in full mo-cap gear yesterday, leading fans to believe that more content is on the way for GTA V. Can it be true?
