Rocket League was announced for Xbox One during The Game Awards in December, and at the time, Halo and Gears of War vehicles were revealed too. Psyonix, the game’s developer has now revealed some more new content, this time featuring Insomniac’s Sunset Overdrive themed cars.
Marcus Smith of Insomniac and Sunset Overdrive creative director said of Pysonix, “Seeing what they did with the Overcharge Rocket Boost was especially thrilling. The Overcharge bubbles look and sound great. When the booster is activated, you can hear the firing mechanism from the Ahab gun in Sunset. It’s so good! Hats off to our friends at Psyonix. They did a hell of a job.
Rocket League will be coming to Xbox One in February, following a fantastic year on both PC and PlayStation 4. Pricing has yet to be announced for the Xbox version, but it will most likely fall in line with existing editions, which is €19.99 or similar in your region. Pysonix have certainly created a hit, with the game sending the studio’s profits soaring towards goal.
