It was only a matter of time before it became official, but today it was revealed that Rocket League would be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Not only would it bring the fast, frantic action of the superb arcade ‘soccar’ game to the console, but it also brings with it cross-network play!
“Rocket League on Nintendo Switch will have all of the same content, features, and updates that we’ve released on other platforms in addition to exclusive Battle-Cars and Customization Items, like Mario and Luigi hat Toppers!”
“Rocket League will also support all of Nintendo Switch’s play modes, including TV Mode (docked), Tabletop Mode, Handheld Mode, and both Online and Local Multiplayer. Online Multiplayer supports up to eight players, and Cross-Network play will be supported as well, allowing Switch players to hit the field with players on Steam and Xbox One.”
Rocket League will release for the Nintendo Switch at the end of 2017, and I really can’t wait to see how the cross-play works with another platform involved. It’s a shame however, that Sony are still opposed to the idea of playing in the same arena as the Xbox and Nintendo crowd. For the Players, etc, etc.
Take the shot!!!
