2016’s Tokyo Games Show is just around the corner, and Square Enix have released a new trailer for Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration for it. As well as a pretty, action-packed game, Rise of the Tomb Raider’s PS4 release comes with a wealth of new content to enjoy.
Rise of the Tomb Raider has been exclusive to Xbox One, 360 and PC since November last year, and now it will finally be available for PlayStation 4 players. There’s still some niggling feelings from some fans over this, but a good game should still be enjoyed.
With added VR support for one of its modes, PlayStation 4 players will be able to explore Croft Manor in a virtual environment, as well as tackle a new survival mode involving zombies, just because. There will also be additional skins added to the game, to celebrate 20 years of Lara Croft and Tomb Raider. Seeing her in her polygonal state from the 90s should be hilarious and nostalgic. It shows how far we’ve come in gaming, really.
Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration is out for PlayStation 4 on October 11th, and those on Xbox and PC who already have a season pass will get this additional content for free. It will be sold separately too, if you want to try out some new features.
