Lara Croft showed off more of what she can do in her second adventure from Crystal Dynamics. In the Rise of the Tomb Raider Gamescom demo shown today, August 4th, we saw Lara take down guards with her new swimming assassination, as Lara can now swim! Good girl Lara!
Most of the Tomb Raider trailer shown displayed a heavy amount of stealth action, with Lara trying to get from point A to point B undetected. Eventually, a war broke out, and Lara did a good job of holding her own. With a mixture of distractions, double bow shots, and explosive containers, Lara has a lot of tools at her disposal, and is the kind of woman you don’t want to mess with.
Lara finds herself in the the worst situations imaginable, and I can only wonder how she has remained alive all this time. At the end of the demo, a teaser of the selection of tombs was shown, followed by another gameplay montage of Lara walking a thin line between life and death, and exploring as she does best.
Rise of the Tomb Raider releases in Europe on November 13th this year for Xbox One and Xbox 360, with an early 2016 release for PC followed by PlayStation next holiday.
