If you find yourself wondering what to do this weekend, you’re in the UK and you’re looking for a good day out then why not head over to “Banks Stadium” in Walsall where you’ll find Revival Solstice 2016 taking place. These events are great for discovering games of the past and reliving gaming moments from your childhood or younger years. there always plenty to do and watch and all sorts of goodies to spend your coins on.
The organisers of Revival Solstice 2016 put a lot of effort into making gamers of all ages feel welcome. You’ll likely see some awesome cosplay and find traders offering a wide range of products. There’s also a large selection of arcade machines and games on a variety of platforms for people to enjoy. The guest panel is something you don’t want to miss. This year’s guests include Archer Maclean who started off making games on early 8-bit computers and went on to work with a host of publishers. Some of his best known work was Dropzone, International karate and a range of Snooker/Pool titles.
Here is just some of what you can look forward to if you decide to pop along to Revival Solstice 2016.

I’ve been to one of these events before and it’s great to be surrounded by like minded people who all share a passion for gaming. I went with a group of friends i work with and we played some of our favourite arcade machines from our childhoods and others we hadn’t seen before, slogged it out on Goldeneye and had an absoloute blast on Micro Machines as well as trying out a wide range of other games on a very diverse selection of platforms. It was also at one of these events I first experienced VR.
Personally I’m looking forward to what promises to be a fun packed event and look forward to sharing some of my experience with you next week. For travel and ticket information or for more details on Revival Solstice 2016 visit: //www.revivalretroevents.co.uk
