Making a return to the Street Fighter series for the first time since her debut in Street Fighter Alpha 3 in 1998, Rainbow Mika will grace Street Fighter V next year, following her reveal last week. Check out the awesome trailer below.
Rainbow Mika is a Japanese female wrestler who idolizes Zangief, the established Russian wrestling Street Fighter. Making use of high flying moves and grappling attacks, Rainbow Mika is a fan-favourite that many will be happy to see return, and a character that has been cosplayed by the masses. We can see why.
In Street Fighter V, Rainbow Mika will be joined by her tagteam partner Nadeshiko, who can assist her with her special moves and pull of some interesting looking maneuovers. One of her more interesting abilities though, is the Mic Performance V-trigger move. Rainbow Mika pulls out her microphone and gives a heart-pumping monologue to the crowd. The longer the buttons are held down, the more powerful her normal and special throws become! During her monologue state, she is able to absorb one hit from the opponent and can also cancel the speech at any time by letting go of the buttons, causing her to fling the mic at the opponent.
Street Fighter V is still on course for a PlayStation 4 and PC release in the spring of 2016.
