Sony wasn’t the only one with a new trailer to show during this year’s Game Awards, as Microsoft debuts a new trailer for their upcoming Xbox One exclusive Quantum Break.
The new trailer gives us a look into the game’s story, which seems to focus around the manipulation of time, it also features SWAT teams and soldiers in rather fancy looking armor.
One of Quantum Break’s most notable features is that it will not only be a video game, but there’s also a TV series in the works, featuring actors such as Marshall Allman (Prison Break, True Blood), Shawn Ashmore (Iceman in the X-Men movie series), and Malani Coomes (I Spit on your Grave 3). Both the game and the series will complement one another.
It’s worth noting that this is not the first time a project of this scale has been attempted. Back in 2013, Trion Worlds and Sci-Fi partnered to create Defiance, an MMO Third Person Shooter and a TV series, the later which was cancelled after three seasons.
Quantum Break, by Remedy Entertainment is set to come out in April 5, 2016, exclusively for the Xbox One. A PC version is a possibility according to the game’s director.
