If you were expecting Prey 2 to be shown at Bethesda’s E3 conference, then you’re in for a disappointment. Instead it seems Bethesda decided to press the reset button and reboot the series with a new game known simply as Prey. Coming out on PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2017.
The original game (Released back in 2016 and developed by Human Head Studios) was a sci-fi shooter with Cherokee influences. The new one however, seems to take another direction, instead focusing on being an “immersive” action game with a psychological twist (And a bit of a Groundhog Day vibe).
The reboot is being developed by Arkane Studios (Creators of Dishonored). Here’s a quick synopsis:
In Prey you are Morgan Yu, the subject of experiments designed to improve the human race. Aboard the space station Talos 1 in the year 203, you must uncover the station’s secrets while being hunted by the mysterious alien force that has taken over.
