Charmander, Bulbasaur, or Squirtle? That was one of the hardest decisions we had to make as teenagers, playing the original Pokemon games on Gameboy. Red, Blue or Yellow, those Pokemon games were classics. Like many other gamers, they were probably their favourite Pokemon titles. Nintendo are releasing them on the eShop in February.
The three games will play exactly as you remember them, and look exactly the same to boot. One major change however, and this is a good one, is that link cables for battles will no longer be required. Yep, Nintendo has updated the battle system to allow for internet-based connectivity to bring the games up to modern standards. Now you can battle with your sibling or friend from years ago, despite whatever distance separates you. Super nostalgia rush!
All three games will be released on the Nintendo 3DS eShop on February 27th, the same day they released in Japan back in 1996. The games will also include Missingo and Mew, as well as the original 152 Pokemon.
