Sony have announced that version 4.0 of the PlayStation 4 firmware is on the way, but before that, they need some community help in testing it out. You can apply for a beta testing roll below, which will grant you access to the new features.
However, Sony haven’t exactly detailed what features are coming. Word on the digital street is that it’s a big one, but how do we know that if it hasn’t been confirmed? Still, if you’re the type of person who wants to see stuff before everyone else, click one of the links down below, specifying whether you’re in the US or Europe.
What features would you like to see added to the PlayStation 4 platform in the next big update? It’s also worth noting that if you sign up for it, and then feel you don’t like the update, or that it’s causing you issues, you can simply roll back to the current firmware until 4.0’s official release.
The beta testing begins in early August, and you can sign up from today until then. Sony promises to reveal more details closer to its rollout.
