PETA, or People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is a non-profit organization that cares for animals across the globe. While their motive is fair and respectable, they have often become the subject of hilarity with some of their collective finger-pointing. Last week, they were eyeing up Nintendo and 1-2 Switch’s milking mini-game.
“Hey Nintendo—how about you show what REALLY happens to cows on dairy farms?
After Nintendo accepted a cow-milking challenge from Billings Farm & Museum, we couldn’t stay silent. This letter from PETA president Ingrid Newkirk spells it out.” Below, you can see a copy of the letter that PETA sent to Nintendo.
1-2 Switch is a collection of mini-games that launched alongside the Nintendo Switch. The game in question sees two players competing to milk a cow using the Joy-Con controllers as the udders. It’s all just silly, as is this attack on Nintendo.
PETA ask that Nintendo show the true nature of cow-milking, and not sugarcoat it in its current video game form. If it was that realistic, would it be a better game? Would it be a game? Are PETA just going too far? Have you ever dreamt of being a dairy farmer?
